having 4 groups in my view is a good idea , less chance of riders ending up in a group that's either to intimerdating or to slow.
Plus 5 sessions on the G.P circuit........pro-plus/ 1 gallon of red bull later.

There are a couple of reasons that we chose to run four groups

1) to keep down the costs to a sensible level, lots of people want to try the GP but cannot afford £280+ for a trackday
2) The GP circuit is very demanding, previous experience is that most people go home knackered at 3pm. By having 4 groups it gives a little more time for rest and recuperation which means: better concentration, improved learning capacity, safer riding and therefore more enjoyment.
3) Did I say 3? …. Finally running four groups at below capacity numbers means we are able to move people around should they find they are in a group not suited to their skill/speed ability.

The groups will be Novice, Intermediate, Fast and ACU (racing member). Just a note that it doesn’t mean that if you have an ACU licence you are forced into the 4th group, however we will try to ensure that only ACU licence holders or racing experienced riders go into group 4. I say this because some DSC members who are starting racing this season have elected to join the intermediate group, but they will be able to move groups if desired.

One further note is that all our instructors have current racing experience and are paid to teach, not given freebee trackdays. Guys like Garry Dickinson (www.garrydickinsonracing.iofm.net) will be on hand to help pass on his knowledge, and I’ll be there of course…

Good'un Gary! Look forward to it, very many years since my one experience on the GP circuit, love the Indy, should I stick with Novice and see how I get on or dive straight back into Inters?

Like you, I'm one of those non-IT, non-billionaire, working type bods. My 4-day working week starts at 7.15am each day, what's your excuse dear lady

as I will be off work then, I'm going to pop down there for the day - bringing donuts drink & sticky plasters!
Could even wield the camera too
