A big thanks Part 1

I have been a bit remiss lately, and in light of recent opinion on elitism I think it's a poignant reminder of what this club is all about.

Two weeks or so ago, Scott (Scottch on the board) let me know about a van that he could organise for me, nice price etc etc. After sorting out some details etc, I book meself a flight up to Glasgow so I can come and pick it up. As luck would have it, I also arranged to pick up a 620 monnie from Edinburgh the same weekend,

Scott not only offers to put me up at his house but drives from his place (north of Edinburgh) to pick me up from the airport and take me to Ducati Glasgow, where we rip the p!ss out of Martin all day before driving over to Edinburgh to pick up the Monster. Load it on Scott's trailer, drive up to look at the van and sort that out - sweet.

That all works out fine so we take the lot home, it's been a long day. Out for dinner at a nice pub down the road and Scott won't let me reach into my own pocket all night, a true gent. Even after getting home we watched a DVD, had a few more beers and Julie (Scott's wife) was organising snacks etc (you'd thing they were a rival Desmo Due competitor the way they were trying to stuff food down my neck )

Julie then gets up on Sunday morning and cooks us all breakfast!!!! Scott helps me load the bike into the van and then leads the way in there car until we're nearly at Glasgow to make sure I get onthe right road to drive back to London. Oh and Julie packed me a lunch to take that was so big the kids were taking what I couldn't eat to lunch the next day - and I've got four kids!!!

Genuine, put yourself out style hospitality and I am so very grateful. Thanks Scott and Julie for all your help and for all the food and great company. I had a great weekend only made possible because of all your help.

Goddamn elitist!

Tony,

STFU mate

Seriously though, I'd have tried to help any of you lot if I could, just so happens I'm in contact with Tony most days via msn, so it was easy.

Cheers!

Scott
