Sorry chaps, still no further as being made redundant, getting married in two weeks and trying to build a cheap desmodue bike is taking all of my time and money.

Attaching the fairing sides is my biggest problem, as using Monster style bungs puts them very close to the std fixing points.
I did think of clamping a bracket to the bung behind the fairing, but then if it goes down and the bung bends or rotates then the fairing gets knackered anyhow.......
Having said that I still think that it will be the best way forward.

I tried a set of 916 style clamps but it put the hole right on the angle of the vent which looked a pain to drill.

If anyone else gets there before me, let me know!
