I had one mate.

When they first came out. Mine had the usual race cans and extras. I think it was an awsome bike. I used to read MCN ****ging it off every other week and thought I used to easliy blast blades and the like of the time.

I dropped the forks through the yokes to quicken the steering up and took that blasted damper off. The handling around town was vastly improved. The front end felt better too. But I always liked a bike that had a skittish front end to it when really going for it.

Mind you, I never got that rear end sorted out. It was ok though!!

I suppose for a real world bike it was ok. Off course it might loose out on a race track but then it was never a race bike. Well the S model wasnt anyhow.

I say get one if its in good nick and the price is right. Its a mega bike and that engine!!!!

I still think of grafting one into my 748 frame. Only in the interests of tinkering you understand!!devil:
