Agreed Paul, however it gets no air flow as on mine the regulator was hidden behind the chin section of the upper fairing and relies on sinking heat into the headlamp surround casting using a dielectric paste ( which will break down with time & heating cycles ) and ambient air cooling.
When mine went u/s, I relocated the replacement inside the air intake at the front to get a constant air flow.
Fingers crossed!!!!! :P
