I would have thought so.

I would be wary of aiming for a too high a rev limt on a standard 998...all be it with cams/pipes and ecu. The stress being placed on the other vital components will be immense.

My 916SP has a limit of 11500, but then its been designed for that with titanium con rods, cams, bigger vavles, higher compression etc. etc.

Not to sure about the 996/998R range...
