The only problem with that is that I'd like to get them before then.

Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely be on the lookout there for some bargains

Certainly a nice looking helmet, Tony. I was the same way wanting a top badged helmet. After wrecking a couple in racing, I couldn't bring myself to spend yet another £300-400 each time and switched to Nitro. It's a Shoei copy, well very close anyway, and you can get them for about £70. It's actually a very good helmet. But hey, I hear these DD racers don't spare any expense.

Fair point Felix.

I've wanted one of these since I saw Troy wearing it last year so absolutely nothing is going to stop me from buying one.

It's been in the back of my mind though, if I trash it. I daresay you'll see a few of us doing exactly the same as you and going down that path once we've trashed one or two. I may keep it as my spare helmet/road use and run the one you see in my avatar.

But I will have one, oh yes it will be mine

Which Nitro are you talking about Felix?

I've got the yellow one on this page: http://thevisorshop.com/acatalog/Mai...LMETS_426.html

Only £60!

I looked at all of the Nitro ones and the N500-V fit me the best. I found no good reason to go for the higher priced one, BTW. Just more convoluted vents. Value for money goes down, IMO, as they go up in price. Visors are only £20, which is what a visor should cost. I mean how does it cost them press a piece of plastic??

Helmet - Suomy Spec 1R Extreme

Gloves - A'Star GP Pro/Plus/Tech

Best I've found so far is Helmet - £349, Gloves (Pro) £99

Does anyone have a special deal going on somewhere where I could possibly get them cheaper?

Cheers,

TP, tight ar$e

Hasn't the spec 1R extreme been replaced this year by the Toseland? Hence try someone like Infinity as they always flog last years stuff off cheaper and will normally do a deal on the sticker prices.

No, the Spec 1R Extreme is a new range only just been released. Last year was the Spec 1R. All the top Suomy reps were Spec 1R's last year and this year they are the Extreme's.

I went to order the Bayliss Extreme helmet in Feb and it wasn't released yet. And they wanted full price (£399) just to order it in! That was my local Infinity store in Twickenham. I've since found them for £349 which is £50 better off in my beer fund.

Having said that, Felix makes a lot of sense and I'm now struggling with my conscience ....
