| For those travelling by motorcycle...  I'd like to complain about the complete lack of catering facilities heading south.  I had it in mind to stop on the way home at the Little Chef just north of Moreton-in-the-March. However, a road-closure accident kept a bunch of us cooling our heels for half an hour or so 6 or 7 miles north of there. I hadn't got enough fuel for a detour, so I sat tight. Was really looking forward to that feed. Got there and it was shut! I *always* stop there on the way back from Donington or wherever. So, sod it, I thought, I'll press on to the one at Stow. Damn me, that was shut too! And that's a real surprise, cos it's not in the middle of nowhere like the other one. I knew I shouldn't have refused Dibble's offer of dough-nuts! :lol Good day out.  |
