Personally I reckon no. I don't know what the clutch is like on the 600s being wet and all but the lack of steering lock alone would put me off recommending it to a beginner. My car can turn in a smaller space than my SL.

It's not such an issue at speed but manoeuvring the bike at slow speed and parking can be a pig. Not what you need when you haven't got much confidence.

Price also seems high for what is after all an 8 year old bike. Buy something Japanese that doesn't require too much thought and effort to ride then once the confidence and ability is there....
