I dunno, everything this week seems to have taken on biblical proportions.
First there was the BMF, where it rained harder than I've seen it all year and just when you think it's easing off, it switches to hail and lashes that down against a backdrop of huge thunder and lightening - I wouldn't have been surprised if Noah had come floating past.
Then, I was out last night for the first ever Northants meet at Thrapston. I followed KeefyB and Red Seb for a little of the way home and then took the A6 as they peeled off for Chelveston. About 200 yards after the roundabout where we went our seperate ways I rode through a plague of Locusts! Within about 2 seconds my visor was totally obscured.
It turned out they were greenfly, but they were everywhere, completely covered the front of my bike, my lid, my jacket and gloves, got into the airvents on my lid and several of the little buggers were flying about inside it - Horrible
I'm going out on the bike again in a minute (it sailed through it's MOT this morning without a hitch - wooohooo) but I'm telling you, if I run into a plague of frogs the end of the world is nigh!
... a couple of early summer weather/insect interactions and you announce the war to end all wars
After whats been happening to folk recently I'm just very glad to be able to feel all my bits without any aches or pains at the moment and like you I'm hoping that I won't be let go this year either
