Who is your dealer, I would check his facts.
I have a 749S that is an 04 model purchased last October.
I was led around the garden path a bit re Termis but eventually established that the Termi for the base model was avaliable, and I have seen bikes with them fitted.
The issue around the ECU fuelling related to 2004 s models, I ordered and paid for mine when I got the bike.
After DUK getting involved the dealer managed to fit my Termis and new correctly mapped ECU last month.
