| Most insurance companies always ask for "convictions in the last 5 years". Does this mean that they add them up over this longer period to increase the premiums?
If you are unlucky enough to get points are you supposed to notify your insurance company as soon as, or will renewal time do? If so do they increase premium as soon as you tell them?
