It HAS to be something like that surely, from when I took off the airbox and replaced it after doing the carbs

Same as my suggestion almost a week ago then, I assumed you had checked this out by now

No mate, that was the first thing I wriggled out of the way, and its currently hanging by the side of the bike so we dont jump when the starter suddenly turns the engine over

I'll be round there again tonight with my magic multimeter.
