Andy, the 999R is a wonderful bike and i'd defo have one in the garage, what I'm saying is that it would have to be at the right price

by the way mine runs just fine with the ecu mentioned. How the riders rides is of course another question.
The only thing I can say is that the carbon exhausts seem to have mis coloured because they run so hot.

for me i can only think of baked beans

the 996r you see is the hienz variety

the 998s is on the same shelf (like the tescos value baked beans)and a bit cheaper may be even better value but doesnt quite taste the same.

i guess its about taste, we all need our proteen,

i see many club racers start from the grid on the (value brand beans) and many races have been won.

the hienz variety are derived from what was the worlds finest. the hand built engine truely something for the disearning riders breakfast table

I have also seen that the hienz can be claimed to produce a a larger bottom burp, probably that hand built engine kinda special feel to it the R eh?

998R - Barolo
996R - Rosso Di Montalcino
998s - Chianti Classico (my favorite)
998 - Sangiovese
1000RR - Warm Sake

So second best isn't bad
