As a safety feature, the computer is designed to shut off the pump anytime it doesn't get a signal that the engine is running. Your problem could be something as simple as a poor connection to the RPM sensor. I'd first try disconnecting-connecting the harness connector to the computer to clean the connection pins, but it sounds like you've done that. Use electrical contact cleaner if necessary, but avoid using WD40, it leaves an oil residue. The next step would be to swap the computer with one that you know is functioning.
