| I believe the issue you are referring to is that some of the earlier bikes had the 'suicide' stand that sprung back into place as soon as the weight had lifted off it. Leading some people to accidentally drop them. You have a 2001 996S which I don't belive has it. My 2000 996 BP doesn't have it. Welcome to the board - while you're getting dickie's vodka and red bull I'll have one, but make it a double  Cheers.  |
