Beware the starter clutch though.
When it starts to go wrong it makes a sort of screech when you are starting. This noise may be disguised by a chattering if the real problem is that your battery is too clapped to run the starter.
Either way, when you start to get wear in the starter (sprag) clutch, it means taking everything apart again. Oh and if a sprag clutch jams, as they can when they wear cos theyve been used with knacked batteries, they can drop nice little bits of metal into your engine.
From memory, the haynes manual doesnt say much, but the 4v service notes tell you all about it.
