Fitted the cyclecat bars to my 916, made a massive difference for my spain trip. (sadly they didnt manage to stop it breaking down)
no worries with clearance, only thing i would say it can get a bit tight on full lock and your thumbs in the tank.
On the upside - as you have to rotate your throttle grip 180 degrees, it means if adjusted correctly that you can use the choke button as a cruize controll - mine would sit at 75 - 80 mph once pressed
