Reference the tyres: For road use I'm a Bridgestone fan personally. The BT014 is an excellent tyre for my 916 as I do tend to give it a bit of stick
That would be the tyre for the 749. It has very good grip, super handling and you can get good milage out of it. Frends of mine who have st4's and SS's swear by the BT020 which is more of a sports tourer tyre. One buddy recons he has done over 12000Km (we're metric here) with his.
I'm sure if you read some of the old posts in this section you will get a good idea as to what most of the members like and dislike over here.
