rusting chain
since ive had my 999 the chain has become very pitted after 600miles ive cleaned it and greased 3 times still the pitting keeps coming through.do yo think they will change it on my first service

Umm, maybe if you point it out, I would do something though 'cause you don't want it snapping dude !

Greased the chain? Is that what the owners manual tells you to do?

Surprised you see pitting coming through if you are greasing it? What are you greasing it with? Specialist chain lube or just grease? I've used to use the ceramic chain wax which is "low fling" and stays on quite well, and recently I've moved to Wurth dry lube in an aerosol which is clear. Seems to work quite well, but you do need to reapply it from time to time - preferably AFTER you have been out unless you leave a few hours between applying and riding.

You'll do well to get it replaced though, it's a consumable item.
