That is certainly a beautiful bike...and different to the point of good taste!

I have the '03 ss with the sculptured front lamp...Not my first choice of duke but I love the ride position and feel of it. It's fairly cheap and simple to work on so that's my option for staying with one.
I feel I need a 900 next.
I find the older SS's reminicsent of the 888 and I know that it's an iconic bike but it just doesn't do it for me...( yes I'm prepared to be shot down in flames!)
I'll be interested to see what the mk 5 will be like...it will probably be at this point I will need an upgrade!

Unfortunately I'm not sure there will be an mk5... I read somewhere that the 2006 model of the 1000ss (which is already the last ss available) may be the last one of the family, and that the SportClassics will take over from it... I definitely hope what I read is wrong...

Mmm...thought so. I like the sound of the 1000DS, there was one on flea bay a few months ago that caught my eye (stealth black of course!)
Just not seen many around...

Be sad if they take that option , I think the SS is the affordable option for Duke ownership, and the 750SS a good introduction to dukedom

The quality of your pix is not very good... it's a pity because your bike would have been my desktop wallpaper for a while

I LOVE it. thanks for that. And I'm sorry you no longer have it mate... (pardon my English... nicked = stolen?)

I'm sick for you... It's exactly the one I'd like to buy when I can afford... It seems to be strictly standard... a true collection bike.

No hope you get it back one day? Is it a long time it has been stolen?

I'm glad to show you the last 900 SS 1997 imported in France. (except FE models)

I bought it brand new in Germany and imported it in my homecountry end of 1998.

Few modifications :
- Ignition set Perderzini 1.1
- Ohlins Rear shock absorber
- New Shindengen regulator
- Tangential exhaust line + upswept exhaust Termi ...

Current mileage : 23.400 kms

Permanent happiness !!!

Wow, those are really sweet! Who makes them (they don't look like the std. Termi spaghetti's)? Are they equal length? Any dyno figures?
