Legal question - If it is day light, can I ride to Brands (sensibly) with a trackday fairing i.e. no headlight or mirrors?? Of course I will have my numberplate and rear brakelight.

In France, the answer would be "yes you can, if you don't get caught by the gendarmerie"

I don't know in the UK, but in France you're NOT allowed to ride a bike without mirrors or headlights. Even if you're going to a trackday . Furthermore, your lights must be on.
