SIX OUT OF every seven speed cameras in Burton and four out of five in South Derbyshire are fakes, a survey has revealed. Read more at 6 here http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/homepage.asp
As I understand it they are not fakes as such, they are all potentaily viable cameras however they are not all activated at the same time. Particularly true of the older analogue film types. Not all are loaded with film although they may still flash.

Why worry-just burn them all-that way you are sure to get the live ones.
We had a plan a few years ago in Northants (Andy cover your ears) to hit all of the cameras in the county all at the same time-just drunken pub chat, but it made for a nice evening.
And a bit closer to home Roy... Allegedly, for all the new cameras stuck up in portsmouth, there's only one camera that's rotated around all the empty boxes. Bit like russian roulette!
I heard a story or two teenagers in Oz (I think) who put a mock reg plate, of the district police governers car, on their van and rode through every camera they could find.
