Scratched mirror lense

Anyone know how to get light scratches out of the glass. Is there some magic stuff or any tips
Thanks

Jeweller's rouge and lots of elbow grease might do it. Apparently toothpaste can also be used to polish out light scratches.

My advice is DON'T. The mirrors are front silvered and polishing it makes it worse. I know by bitter experience.

I'm surprised at that. Front silvering isn't very durable at all.
