bloody alarm

had a system 3 datatool alarm fitted to my 999 about 2 months ago .im was having to press the fob 3or4 times before it would switch the alarm of so i could switch the bike on i knew this was not right having had the same alarm twice before so i took it back to where i had it fitted .they took a look and told me that the board inside had burnt out .so ive got to wait 3or4 days for the part .good job its still under warranty.....has any body else had problems simular to this

My Datatool 3 has played silly buggers a few times. I replaced the battery - and yes I know yours is only a couple of months old but the silver oxide batteries have a limited shelf life.

Can't remember the code for them, but it might be worth either getting a pair of batteries fmor a watch repair shop (or camera shop - should be under £5 each) or try the other remote. Don't be temped to get batteries from the local market though, they are likely to be old stock.

Mood: I started life with nothing and still have most of it left
Mines been ok on my speed triple for 2 years on same battery.
Have a meta on the 749. Any issues with these?

just had meta "ripped" out of mine..
it was responsible for killing battery..
