Murray\'s DD Diary
So today I have started the job of preparing my rather sad looking 1995 ss into the gleaming example of a DD rocket ship that I plan to ride next year, and I have to admit that I’m really looking forward to the challenge.

Where do I begin, front, back, middle, plumbed for the rear-end as the motor will be coming out before to long and it seemed the easier option.

Bits came flying off, some are going to EBay to help pay for my madness other bits may come in useful at some later stage so there in the shed. Whist pulling things apart a couple of questions pop into my mind and here they are, does anyone have a parts manual / list for a 1995 600 ss and what do I do with the original wiring loom as I want to get rid of all the superfluous bit and pieces like head lamp, tail tight and such, I know I can just unplug them but is there a way of simplifying the whole layout.

Here are a couple of pics of my progress so far.

Most of my harness is just unplugged. Then at the headstock area I tapped into the original loom to bring out just the wires I needed for the power to the start/kill switch circuit. means I can always refit the road gear. The connector that normally joins the main harness to the front harnes is just tucked inside the fairing mount.

ps I like that Yellow tank, much nicer than my Red one, best I get the spray cans out.

Ours started like that and now it's a few boxes of bits, frame comes back this week
I modified the loom to take away the ignition switch, simple job with a wiring diagram
