Frank the full floaters have rotors that are mounted to the carrier allowing a bit of free play, the semi floating discs have rotors mounted to the carrier with the edition of a stiffly sprung washer that takes out the free movement but still allows it to move when enough force is applied.
ON the OEM Ducati discs the Fully floates have Iron rotors as opposed to the stainless mix of the mon floaters hence them going rusty at this time of year.
My Braking Waveys are excellent discs, I have used them on both road and track and am very happy with them
