Remember an RS won the BSS championship in 2003 with Easton on board. And he was in 2nd or 3rd in 2004 IIRC.
What's wrong with the brakes? They're easily up to the task normally. He could of course fit p4 calipers off a late R. His main issue is keeping the top end properly serviced.
