Paper work

Need help

Iv sent off my application form to be a member of new era.

Iv also filled in form for my novice road racing licence from the acu and seen a doctor (for the first time in 2 years) and booked a training day with the acu in rugby on the 9th jan. (Is any one else going then we could meet up.)
Im not sure what it is, is it just a training day or is it a test and if its a test what do I need to know.
Then after iv done this training day, can i then send my acu form to Chris to sign and then for him to send it on to the acu.

So is my understanding of all this correct

(all i want to do is race no more forms)

Dominic, the day at Rugby, is to do your ACU race licence test.
Am sure someone will be along to fill you in.

After you have joined New Era, got your paperwork back from the ACU, had the paperwork endorsed by either Chris Bushell or Jim at New Era, all you need to do is keep your paperwork safe

After that, the only form filling is for race entires, and trackday entries.

Basically the training/test day tells you a few things you need to know about racing, flags, what happens on the course etc and some of the rules about your bike - kit bladeblah.
Then you get a page with a few multichoice questions on. Five mins ticking off the correct answers and a coffee later and you have a piece of paper that tells you you are equipped to leave your brains in the tool box and go racin

What Phoenix said...

The test isn't all that challenging, it's more of an attendance thing - if you turn up you get your certificate.

If you get there early there's a damn good greasy spoon at the other end of Wood Street, well worth a visit!
