Originally posted by barnsey its a joke, the police dont have the manpower to keep up with the criminals they already know about. this is just a scheme to help the police capture evidence to nick headline criminals. a recent report by norwich union into a bunch of scammers was reported to the police, after the insurance company hired a private eye and collected names, addresses, CCTV, photo's, movement diaries, and proved that in one case 5 men had been involved in 340 claims in 1 year, either as witnesses, claiments or bystanders. The police simply had to go round an pick them up, they were told that they didnt have them manpower to follow up these sort of crimes. but the insurance company could pay the police time if they wanted it sorted ! And you wonder why your stolen bikes dont get found? i've been trying to find the link to the report, will post it when i can. so, moral of the story, dont worry about white collar crime, the police dont! The chances of getting caught with the wrong plates on are minimal and if you are what will happen? bugger all. off the soap box now, thanks. happy new year!!! |
Utter crap!........in this case i can talk with the knowledge and back it up with the facts......i can assure you its not under staffed, and the bad guys are banged to rights!
