It's marginal as to whether it's out further than the back wheel. If it is I'll just have to adjust the wheel back a bit I guess!

Thanks Skids and Antonye, that's the next 'to buy' item on my list

This is IMHO essential. A well fuelled bike with a chunk of midrange will serve much better than a peaky nightmare. Most of the podium finishes last year went this router rather than top bhp.

The key issue is having confidence to roll the throttle on as early in the corner as poss. The worse the fuelling, the longer your head will tell you to leave it, the less drive you get out of the corner, the further behind you are at the next corner, the more you try to out-brake, the more time you spend in the kitty-litter!

Cheers,

Ali

Ali is bang on there. Midrange power is all - certainly it was in Minitwins. He/she who is fastest out of the corner is usually the fastest down the straight.

Nice bike Lucy - that fairing looks good.

Absolutely. Even though they've got bugger all hp, it still puts you off when it comes in all at once at random intervals!

I've just noticed that you're running a Micron end can. I'd get a spare if I were you or a better pipe like a Renegade. I've had two Micron Zeta race cans fail on my SV - they have an inherent flaw in them imo. The rubber gaskets or seals pop out, to be shortly followed by the innards.

When I talked to Micron about it they said that the cans weren't designed for race use (Go figure! Despite them being sold as that!) and we're able to cope with v-twins being revved hard all the time. They replaced the cans in the end but, I since went the Renegade route - support was much better, you get a racer discount if you're nice to Jorge the head man and the pipes are made from Titanium...nice n light.

I will never use Micron again.
