I had the opposite when looking for my first Ducati in late 2001.
Honda were realy helpful - couldnt do more, talked to ME not hubby, arranged test rides.... Ducati's help was non-existent. Bit of a change since - particularly as i wrote them an abrupt letter regarding the customer service at the NEC that year.
Still brought a ducati tho 5 months later
