| As DD says, that's the easy way to do it but it does mean there's the risk of riding off with the sidestand still down. No problem if you don't do it, I suppose.
That's why there are people selling bypass looms that allow you to start the bike with it down but it I guess they have figured out a way to kill the motor if you put it in gear.
