I think its a government initiative to ensure a consistant standard of MOT test but, (I suspect) mixed in with a bit of 'big brother' watch so they know exactly when our vehicles are out of test....

But, lets face it if it keeps unsafe vehicles off the road then its a good step and lets not forget - if your test runs out - as far as I'm aware - you are not insured either !!!

Yorkie - It failed on rear tyres (on the limit) and the good old drive shaft boot split - LOL - nice to know the same old fails are still there!!!
