Mood: is it cos i is a bricklayer
5'er there is a split of opinion wether to run carb warmers or use the silkolene pro FST fuel additive - i run with the pro FST at variying ratios depending on the temparatures 50-1 for when riding in freezing temps and 100-1 for just cold temps i dont bother in the summer of course- works for me!-i dont know if the additive helps the starting tho, but it does certainly help with smoother running at low revs- i always use the super unleaded too---carb warmers do work too if you can find them and get them fitted -ive got some but after 12 months still havent got round to fitting them--- when you start from cold you arent making the same mistake as i did when i first got my 600? what i was doing was giving it full choke and just a blip on the throttle motor spun over but didnt fire- an hour later i decided to try different tactics put it on half choke and just pushed the button without touching the throttle she fired up a treat - works every time now!!(tempting fate)
