Apart from the Haynes, I've never found a specific manual for the 600ss - I think youve downloaded a manual for the 750/900 from here:

Rear axle torque for my 900ss - 52 to 56 lbf/ft

If you have a tapered spacer it apparently needs to be fitted with the angled side facing in towards the wheel centre.

ps - was it you that changed the rear wheel bearings??? If so and you still have probs, it might be that the bearing are not seated properly in some way.
