748 Oil Consumption

How much oil does/should a 748 use under normal road use?

None of my 748's have ever used any oil between changes or service intervals. I understand that the running in process and oils used during running in are crucial to this.

I very seldom top my 50000 mile 748 up between (3000m) oil changes.
