Alan says 'Does the mad french man want to pop over for dinner tomorrow - and bring his motorbike with him?'

I don't know, will there be enough water to drink for the both of us

That sounds good I get in touch with you later when I'm back home.

Gash but if you stick a screwdriver over the 2 large terminals does the bike spin over??
Glyn

I didn't dare to do that but I think I will have to do it... Cheers for your help mate.

do that next mate - if it does crank, then it sounds like the starter solonoid.

Or, use a direct positive feed to the terminal on the starter motor, from the battery or jump lead (with the earth on the frame or engine) I HAVE to do this on the tri colour sometimes!!

I think I have a spare you can borrow to check it out (but I cant let you have it for long)

Common prob with monsters mate.

Yep Kev, done that...

I've spent again the evening in the garage, no progress... Except on one point: I've tidied and sorted my bolts, washers and nuts...

I'm really desesperate. I think I must have a bad earth somewhere (I mean something connected to the earth and which shouldn't...).

Tonio, if you want a fresh pair of eyes to look at the problem I'd be glad to help on Saturday when I come over, I'll bring my starter solonoid over with me.
