I think you're right Tony, but I can't find a driver anywhere.
I tried it on my work p.c and it works fine.

The disc is just for 98SE drivers, XP etc should detect it automatically, if it needs drivers it will prompt for them

I really don't know what the problem is. I rang the manufacturers helpline and they had not heard of the problem before. The problem must be my p.c but I don't have this problem with other devices on the same usb port.

Finally sussed it. My p.c has some in-built card readers,s.d ect, which are u.s.b devices. There must be some sort of conflict as when I disable them in Device manager then my p.c sees the mp3 ok. Device manager doesn't show any conflicts but tells me everything is working correctly.

Anybody know a long term fix for this other then disabling the card readers each time.
