had this problem with my 03 999 as I applied the brake there was a lot of vibration or chatter from the front end and the brake's felt very wooden.
This was bad in the wet as the brakes did'nt work at all at first and then grabed strongly. (nearly cost me my life, out one day when it was wet).
took it to Carl Harrison's in Harleston and he said i had glazed the pads.
Im not a fast rider so this supprised me!!!. However, he was spot on.
hope this helps........ the boys are right, get someone to look at it.
