Mood: I own a flame thrower
My first Ducati was an import 748bp. No problem with the bike at all.

I fitted a mechanical reducer between the the speedo cable and the speedo. This make the speedo read in mph using the existing markings on the speedo.

The worst part of owning it was when I came to sell it, 50% of the people that phoned about it were paranoid about it being imported ... for Fcuk sake every Ducati is an import, not one is made in the UK.

Took about 6 weeks to sell the bike, but, did sell for £150 less than I'd paid for it. Not bad for 2 summers riding a Ducati

I serviced it and put tyres on it, only additional cost was a snapped throttle cable which would have happened to any bike ... import or not.

If the deal is right I would not be put off by an import.
