Seat fixings are all in to the seat pad through the subframe. Either side the seat pad is an allen bolt that needs to be removed. There are then 2 bolts that go through the subframe, from below, and in to the seat pad, again 1 on each side.

At the back of the seat cowl there is a locating pin pushed in to a rubber grommit. Using your finger tips ease the pin out of the grommit.

The whole seat and tank unit is now free to be lifted.

Use a suitable block of wood or similar, about 100mm, and support the rear of the tank by placing the block between the tank and rear suspension mount or similar point on the bike. Just make sure the tank is not lifted so high at the rear to cause the front to hit on the ignition or similar.

Undo the large bolt that holds the front of the seat pad to the "tail" of the tank.

Seat unit is now off and free to play around with.

This is quite easy ... 1 allen key, 2 sockets is all you need.

This way means you can leave the tank on the bike and not disturb the fuel lines.
