The pic doesn't show the stand in it's full details as there seems to be something going on which i can't make out clearly.
On the face of it the grip is about as useful as a rubber nail.
On a positive note i'd estimate that the handle weighs approximately 2kg and at the current rate of £70 per tonne for waste steel/iron you should comfortably recoup a grand total of approximately 14pence for the handle at your local scrap merchant.
Spend your hard earned winnings wisely - or but a decent Micron stand.
