In answer to your question - no, posts are not being deleted. The only other post I could find with respect to air filters was from 2003 at
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm...=3060#pid23881 There was a 'pruning' exercise carried out at the beginning of 2006 where any items in 'Idle Chat' from 2003/4 were archived out into a separate area - but since technical items are never (?) in the 'Idle Chat' area this would have had no impact.
