New Labour

Jools, you should stand for Parliament as a New Labour MP.
Your rant against the Tories is not couched in your usual fair minded style. Aitken and Archer both lied and probably because they were Tories quite rightly went to prison. The liars in New Labour have got away with more lies than any administration in living memory.
The legal system is controlled by Blair and his Scottish school pal the Lord Chancellor Of England who took over the job from his other mate Lord Irvine.

Actually Jools it may well be illegal ,hence the police investgation! We may yet see someone (Lord Levy - bless him?) facing his "peers".

I REPEAT IT'S ONLY A BIKE CLUB

As was posted by Dementor on a.n.other thread.
(last time I saw those words the MT froze the thread without a by-your-leave reason or rhyme)

And as yer good man jools posted recently - keep it in perspective.

How many peeps in DSC? 1000, 2000, 3000, ???
Do you think it will make one iota of difference what anyone on here wants/desires? - not unless you are prepared to go out and do something about it.

So I propose we elect a cabinet minister as Honorary Pres (bang goes another thread), who would you want-Aitken?Archer? or Campbell?

Then again we could always do a Frenchie, and have a mass sit in at the little church hall near Newport Pagnall. That'll show 'em.

Maggie Thatcher gets my vote for Honorary Pres

She will need to be a full club member if she wants to be on the rules/constitution committee though :P:P:P

Worse thing she did was to privatise the utilities IMHO.

The useless bunch we have now do sod all to encourage new enterprise, it's great for illegal immigrants and asylum seekers and Russian mafioso types here now but not much on offer to the indigenous population.

Ask yourself where your state pension is coming from if you've got another 10 years ahead of you before retirement or how many more times they will be putting their hands in the private pension funds. I'm into property for my investment but it will only be a matter of time before they cotton on to that and make it pointless.

We can't go on forever without producing something saleable, our manufacturing industries have been decimated and will never be reclaimed. Our top people get lured off to other countries by lucrative offers, the innovators get no help or funding here so do likewise.

It's time to wake up and smell the coffee, not for our own sakes perhaps but to offer something to our kids and the future.

A natiional party slightly to the left of the National Front or BNP perhaps ?. Why should we be shy of saying we are English !!

on dvla website. There should be (was) a link to specific engine emissions.
Very unfair if you ask me:-
Rover k series 1.8 engine - in a Rover was taxed at same rate as Rover 1.8 K series engine in a lotus,
even though the lotus did maybe 1.5 times as many miles to the gallon
