Drained the tank today and refilled with fresh and some fuel system cleaner after countless attempts only managed to get it to run for 3 secs with the choke on , had to give up as the battery was suffering and it started to rain .
I wish i had a garage

will have another go after work tomorrow or before work on saturday battery should be charged by then as well

The ZX7r was taken away today in a van still a non runner despite my best attempts .
I did complain to Texaco who to their credit replied very quickly but it turns out they just supply the petrol for the station north of box hill (givons grove roundabout) , the site is actually run by Somerfield .
So i have been onto them now but no reply so far .

No way IMHO, even small amounts of petrol can kill a modern diesel fuel pump in some cases, sometimes you may get away with it but with the cost of a diesel fuel pump i wouldn't take the risk.

I've had 2 dozy drivers recently put petrol in diesel vehicles, one we were lucky with as he realised his mistake after a few litres and didn't start the van, the other cost £3000 including recovery of a stranded 7.5 tonne lorry Admittedly driver had put 90 litres of petrol in.
