| Well, when I've bought lids it's always been made clear that they're non-refundable, after all, you wouldn't want to buy a lid when someone elses sweaty bonce had been in it for a couple of days would you? So the dealer is stuck with something they can't sell.
Having said that you would expect any type of manufacturer to stand by their product although to be fair they have provided you with a new vent kit even if their attitude hasn't been very helpful and their token apology has been a cynical "chuck one of them in the box".
The thing that would worry me is that the new vent kit is wonky, if you've fitted it right it might mean that the shell is faulty? Hence the early demise of the original? Lids that have bits fall off them give me the eebie jeebies anyway, it always makes me think "well if they can't screw this bit on properly how much faith should I put in the lid saving my head". Might be worth a call to trading standards questioning the 'fitness for purpose'? |
