Wrong rear shox supplied - a bit miffed

About three years ago - I bought a White Power shock for my 900ss. Good price from a dealer who has closed down now (!)

I was never over impressed with the ride quality even though I'd been told it had been set up for my weight and spec.

Anyway, time passes and I lay my SS up for over a year to play with track bikes instead. But, I miss my Duke too much, hense the rebuild thread............

I've sent the shox away to a company called MCTechnics
( http://www.mctechnics.co.uk ) who so far seem to be very good guys.

I wanted them to give it a quick look over and possible fit a ride height adjuster that I thought could be retro-fitted.

Sadly, they have now told me that I have been sold a shox for a later model 900ss than mine

Its 6mm longer than the shox I should of have (only bonus) but the spring rate and valving are completely wrong.

I'm impressed with MCTechnics already as they have said they will exchange the spring for me as it was bought in good faith etc and re-valve it to the correct spec for only just over the cost of a standard service.

Kinda wish I saved a bit more an bought Ohlins to start with.

Be warned - Frank
