Well, we bought payne_p's '92 with a 12000 mile engine (original was 38000) for 1250. In excellent nick except a small dent on the tank.
If its had regular oil changes, mileage is not a problem, and the belts have an easier time on the old small-crankcase engines, and changing them is easy-peasy anyway.
Personally, I am suspicious of bikes that *dont* get ridden enough (several of mine are getting like that ) as mileage means they are working
I sold my immaculate 900FE for just over 2k.
Make a low offer (even in a dealers) and play it by ear

Not interested in a 620 monster then
