Got friends at Union Mills some of who do marshalling in that area so may here more about the incident later in the week. It's not unknown for some riders to run wide after coming past the railway pub and clipping the kerb just after the shop and those that don't often move back across the road towards the garage.
I often watch from my friends front garden which is just on the right before going out of the village towards Glen Vine, from this view point in 2004 we watched the F1 race and saw John McGuiness squeeze by Adrian Archibald with his wheels near enough in the gutter on the rhs of the road, at this point they are travelling fairly fast and with the walls and gateways on the lhs most riders tend to drift to the right as they exit the village sometimes drifting over in front of a faster rider trying to go by them.

We all know the IOM has its dangers and not just during the racing so if you are going be careful and keep your wits about you as there are some right numptys that get out there.
